Section D will see the construction of a new 26-kilometre, four-lane bypass of Gympie and will complete the final link in the 62-kilometre upgrade of the Bruce Highway between Cooroy and Curra. Section D has been separated into two contracts to assist in the future management of contractual risks inherent with such a large project.
